Patricia Dornbos: When the car is returned at the end of the lease, any repair work that does not meet the highest standard will be reason for you to be charged accordingly. It is your responsibility to assure that does not happen. There is no guarantee that the work will be passable regardless of where it was done.To be reasonably sure that it would not be a problem, the best course would be to have the original dealer body shop do the repairs. They have the experience dealing with the return situation and don't need to appear incompetent at that point. In spite of any circumstances, you are the one responsible in the end for any diminished valuation even though the car belongs to the bank....Show more
Timmy Bustard: YOU are 100% responsible for all maintenance and repairs. If there is a crash, you may as well BUY the car, because the charge for 'excess wear and tear' WILL be almost as bad as the ripoff priced into the lease in the first place. Leasing is ALWAYS the mos! t expensive way to drive a car.
