Should I buy a car now or wait?

Nona Lentini: If you can afford it now, why wait? Some idiot said to wait until fall and get a good deal on a 2011...BULLSH!T! I only have about 15 2011's left on my lot and they will be gone before the end of September.And...rebates are bad was another idiots response. BULLSH!T again. 0.0% on just about any car out there, which saves you A LOT more than a simple rebate. Big rebates are for over-priced cars. If a car is $40,000.00, and there is a $5,000.00 rebate, shouldn't the car have been $35,000.00 to begin with? Rebates also DESTROY the resale value of cars. I have an idea...if we are heading into a recession, buying a car AT BARE MINIMUM stimulates the local economy. Wouldn't that help at least your local economy? THERE IS NO "BEST TIME" TO BUY A CAR...BUY A CAR, WHEN YOU NEED A CAR. PERIOD...END OF CONVERSATION!...Show more

Hong Hunkin: The rebates right now are a joke. Wait until fall and get a good price on a leftover 2011 model.

Lashawnda ! Anteby: If you don't actually need a new car now, it's not going to hurt to wait and see what happens. I doubt we'll see a spike in auto prices any time soon, with the economy still struggling, and banks less willing to make loans. On the other hand, if another recession hits hard enough, there is a good chance we'll see some downward pressure on prices, with dealers just looking to move inventory. To me, prices seem to be higher during the summer, but I'm mostly checking used car prices. Are you looking for a new or used car? Economy, luxury, sporty, SUV?...Show more

Libby Berkovitch: wait until just before christmas when everyone wants money then low ball

Bob Pucella: thats ur choice....if u need a car for transportation then i suggest that u shudnt w8...otherwise, just take the bus!

Efren Clankscales: Someone I have always turned to for financial advise is Dave Ramsey. He has been from rags to riches back to rags and back to riches. He is very help! ful on any financial question you have. You can go to his webs! ite ( http://www.daveramsey.com/home/ ). He will most likely tell you to save your money and just pay cash for your vehicle; If the current one (assuming you already have a vehicle) is running, why get rid of it? Check him out.
