Do I need to change my car registration from the state I'm moving from, when its not moving with me yet?

Nona Lentini: When you move the car to the new state, and update the insurance for the requirements of the new state then get your registration changed over. Loaning your car to a friend who is driving it and the car not being in the new location is reason for not changing registration yet.

Len Bormes: You must be a resident of the state to have the car reregistered in that state. You will be fine until your tags expire.
