Rosann Mccomb: Sea Ray is a good boat, as is Maxim, and even Bayliner. Just buy the boat that you feel the most comfortable with. If you are going to trailer it, make sure the trailer is in good shape, and roadworthy. As for the engine, make sure everything works from top to bottom, otherwise, you're in for some costly repairs. Cletus Crotts: sea-ray is a great choice, a crown line is over rated.. sea-ray has a dependable hull and will hold resale value better than most. it is an all around good boat
Rosalyn Olivera: the most important item when looking at used boats is the motor. the motor is what takes you out and brings you home. never buy a used boat until you take atrial cruise and check the motor. always have an experienced marine mechanic check the motor before you buy. this is very important if it has been used in saltwater.
