will beer have less chemicals in it than lager?

Lizzette Wendroth: I can't speak for Carling or Carlsburg, but mass produced American Lagers have more chemicals than do Ales. Why would someone in the UK drink lagers when the British Isles is known for great Ales. Hell, Newcastle Brown Ale is better than any lager on the planet and, unless you're a Geordie Boy, Newky Brown won't be on your Top Ten list....Show more

Maynard Reevers: Over here in Australia, Cooper's proudly displays "No Additives, No Preservatives" on its ale, and it is a micro brewery. Generally, there is beer that is produced cheaply to make as money as possible and beer that has love and no additives in it - the brewer actually cares about his product. The quality of the ingredients will also be a cut above what you are used to.

Julieta Suleiman: lager IS beerthere are 2 general classes for beer:lagers and alesgenerally home brewed, and micro brewed is going to give you less additives than macro brewed beers....Show more

Daria Verfail! lie: I doubt there many added chemicals in any of those beers. You might drink German beer if concerned, as they are not allowed by law to add anything...

Launa Weingarten: Beer is lager or lager is a beer. Few beers currently have chemicals but you will find them more in food then beer and in light beer more than dark beer.
