People that are divorced please answer?

Tosha Tawney: We didn't make it a year.I tried my best to keep us together, but she didn't want it. Which says even more when she was the one that cheated.I paid for the lawyer and everything to get things done with....Show more

Eulah Hugill: Married for seven. He paid for the divorce and married his now wife.He had to have her, so nothing could have kept us together. As far as your situation, if your sister and best friend got a divorced, they are their husbands should have paid for the divorce. If you are grown enough to get married, take the responsibility to handle your own business....Show more

Collin Barter: Was there anything you read that you felt helped you make better decisions or made you feel more empowered?

Curt Broadhead: Started dating in 1995, married in 1996, separated in 2002, divorced in 2003. Paid for it myself. Doubt anything could have kept us together. I wanted the divorce way more than he did. Yeah I even paid for 90% of my we! dding.

Freeman Rutkin: lol.. no they just lose half of what they own

Theresia Fashaw: Rebuilding by Dr. B. FisherThe Anatomy of Love by Helen FisherTwo I enjoyed. There was another one about treating the ex like a business partner and removing the emotions when you had to deal with them, but I forgot the title and who wrote it. The name had Divorce in the title.......Show more

Leisa Brodnex: wish it was that easy

Berry Gilmore: My parents paid for their own divorce. My friends all paid for their own. No offense but the idea the parents would pay for it sound ridiculous to me.

Booker Moros: no my parents didn't pay for my divorcei was married six yrs.

Esteban Lyson: lol Might as well.

Rosalia Hibler: No, that isn't common. Unless, you have no money to pay for it and your parents are in agreement for the divorce. But, most people who are old enough to make the decision to get married, are usually old enough to cover the expense.

Sheron Perrez: RU Kidding me - My parents wouldnt pay for! my wedding let alone a divorce..lol

Sherita Gallati: I was married for a yearWe definitely couldn't have kept it together. He cheated on me and drugged me.He paid for the divorce, usually it's 50/50 but I made him pay for every last dime....Show more

Coleman Coscia: Thanks to everyone else for their answers.

Rona Espalin: Married 17 years. If the ex wouldn't have been so miserable and moody maybe I would've continued to try...but both parties have to care. He paid his legal fees and I paid mine, mine were higher because I was the petitioner.

Ramon Dahlheimer: Married a year. Nothing could keep us together. It would be a cold day in hell before I asked my parents to pay for it!

Toney Flaten: 24 years married. No, he left me to marry another woman. He paid for a Pro Se divorce, since he was the one who wanted it. He quit-claimed the house to me, though...how stupid he was!

Shaquita Wernicki: I was married for 4 years. Actually, today is the! 10-year anniversary of my divorce. Wow, times sure does fly by.Nothing could have kept us together, and that's OK. We really did part as friends.Neither of us paid for the divorce. We both had friends who were lawyers and they didn't charge us....Show more

Johnnie Pummill: Nope... just forwards into the meat grinder.

Asley Quickle: My ex and I had been married for 3.5 years, together for 5. If we were different people entirely, this could have kept us together. We did a very simple DIY divorce, he paid the fee to file the paperwork.

Jorge Gerrero: ouragon - What are you talking about? My sister AND best friend had their parents pay for it...I just wondered if that's normal. They are the only 2 people I know that are divorced, so I wanted opinions from other divorced people!

Miguel Koczela: white mothers?

Linwood Mccory: Ask your parents to give you the same amount of money so you can get over it. Sibling rivalry continuing into the adult! years. Wow.

Derrick Smsith: Only in Hollywood movies

Raele! ne Cunnick: YES

Coy Tapley: no, silly kitty, that's a satanist wedding. divorce is an elaborate ritual involving the throwing of clothes out windows and the desperate spoiling of children to gain their love. it is presided over a mysterious order of occult high priests known as 'the consul'. it's very dramatic.

Donnie Bolio: I'm reading divorce busting rightnow. It tries to tell a person to work on things before divorcing.

Freddy Shutler: I know not all white mothers are strict on their children but some are VERY strict on their children and most of their children end up getting adopted or put into foster homes.I know a white guy who lives on his own now and he was really happy that he doesnt live with his mom anymore. Why is this?

Marcia Cheathan: Im not divorced but i got close one time. GOD

Cecil Derenzi: do they have to say their vows backwards too

Guy Bonamico: Maybe so, but sometimes people might be real happy and just want to m! ove on with their lives.

Burt Stoecklin: I was married 24 years. The only thing that could have kept us together was her and she did not want to be married any more. Sometimes people grow apart and there is nothing that will bring them back together. We just grew apart and she wanted to take my money and half my assets. Nobody helped me and I would not have accepted any money for it. My ex took out a loan using our home equity line of credit without telling me and hired her lawyer with it ( she was supposed to be paying off her credit card debt). I had to pay for my lawyer using a loan in my own name. It cost us about $3,500 each. That was a small price to pay for my freedom....Show more

Jose Bouliouris: Married 8 years; spouse paid for divorce because spouse did the cheating.

Shane Getler: sure, if that works for you!
