Ambrose Mumma: If I were you I would find out the model number and search online for a operators and parts manual. Sometimes the manufacturer will have them and they can be printed for free. Sometimes people sell them on line but it never hurts to have one that way you can order parts easier.Like all mowers the life of the mower is the oil. Change it frequently, I do mine 3 times per season just to keep it from getting broke down.Check the fuel line filter and change as well also the spark plug, When sharpening the blades make sure they are balanced. You can pick up a blade balancer for under $10.Actually cheaper than that!!! see below. Make sure to grease it I use the lithium grease. Check the belts and clean it up.http://www.jcwhitney.com/autoparts/Product/tf-Brow...Previous question on yahoohttp://answers.yahoo.com/question/index?qid=200611...SMALL FEE BELOW FOR PRINT OFFOperation,Instruction and Parts Booklets ForVintage Sears Garden Tractors And Their Impl! imentsOperation,Instruction and Parts Booklets ForVintage Sears Garden Tractors And Their ImplimentsOpen the link below and scroll down to ADAM and read the forum.
