Coercive/Intolerable Acts?

Carli Watterson: Liz, for us to answer, we would need the context. WHICH coercive and intolerable acts? If you mean in general, the question contains the answer. A coercive and/or intolerable act is significant in it's immorality. It's cruelty. It's lack of freedom (coercive) and the fact that either we, as the ones hearing of them, or those who suffered intolerant acts is significant in that it goes against human decency and common morality. All cultures do condone coercive acts. Think of arresting a murderer, but some condone coercive, immoral acts. Think Chinese footbinding, African clitorectomy, Islamic killing of homosexuals. Some may argue morals are relative. I not only disagree, but think those who believe this are idiots. I am not a person who uses that word lightly. NO culture condones intolerable acts.Basically, no one can answer this without context....Show more
